Chapter 52: It is recommended for the pebbles used for stoning to be the size of broad beans
باب اسْتِحْبَابِ كَوْنِ حَصَى الْجِمَارِ بِقَدْرِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ
Sahih Muslim 1299 a
Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported
I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) throwing stones (at Jamrat al 'Aqaba) like pelting of small pebbles.وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ .
